Bushnell answers the call for wrist wearing device, with the Bushnell NEO+ Golf GPS Rangefinder Watch. It comes with 25,000 golf courses already preloaded. There are no downloads, or membership fees. How does it perform? That is the real question, and I am going to give you the answer.

Initial Thoughts:

The Bushnell NEO+ Golf GPS Rangefinder Watch looks like a really nice Digital Sports Watch. It is very light. Along with the unit comes a charger. It’s the first time I have ever seen this type of USB Charger. After reading the enclosed information I set my unit up to charge. It was very simple to attach the charger to the watch. I like that it is easy to put on and take off.

On the Course:

I arrived with the NEO+ Golf GPS Rangefinder Watch on at the course. Hit a few buttons, and the unit went into search mode. A list of several courses then appeared. The course I was playing was on the top of that list. Pressed button for selected course, and up popped the first hole and the Yardages. That was easy.

Now, how would I know if the yardages were correct? That was simple. I was going to match up with a playing partner that uses a GPS unit, and use the courses markers.

Now it was time to Tee it up. Check my distances grab my club.  Swing away get in cart and drive up to balls. His GPS has one reading My NEO+ another. I walk over to sprinkler head the NEO+ is perfect the GPS not so much. It is 9 yards shorter. This was Typical for the whole round. Well until he turned his GPS off that is. I check out any marker I could find and was either exact or one yard more or less. That was a big plus.

(The pictures are from Red 100 Yards standing behind it the White 150 in front and Blue 200 yards in front)

To make sure my review was a thorough one. I played 3 different Golf courses using the NEO+ Golf GPS Watch. Each course gave the same results. The yards based on center of the fairway never varied more than one to two yards.

Other features that the NEO+ has are Auto Hole Advance and Shot Distance Calculator. They both worked flawlessly hole after hole, on all of the courses played.

The last test was if the Battery could go 3 rounds before having to recharge. The answer is……. YES !  The battery lasted 3 complete rounds with some charge to spare. Now that is 3 average time rounds. My average round is around 4 hours.

Final Thoughts:

I want to first start off with the fact that I ‘Did Not Wear a Watch”. I had not used a watch in over 13 years. At first I was hesitant, but I can honestly say that it did not bother me in anyway.

It was comfortable and light weight. I even forgot I had it on. No need to shy away from this product because you don’t currently wear a watch. I might just start wearing a watch again because of it.

I found using the NEO+ very easy. I walked up to my ball got my distances, checked flag position and hit my ball. What I really like is that distance is always with you. It worked so well the people I play with started asking me for distances.

I would recommend the Bushnell NEO+ Golf GPS Watch. It is a really good product and it works. You want your distances no need to look far. Just look at your wrist. It’s as simple as that.
