Many golfers choose to use either a rangefinder or a GPS but rarely do they use both. I am one of those few that likes to use both pieces to get the most out of my game. Bushnell has now come up with the perfect way to have both handy tools in one compact unit.
As the industry leader of high performance sports optics for over 65 years, Bushnell has a solid reputation and plenty of satisfied customers to back it. While they continue to strive to provide the highest quality, most reliable and affordable sports optics on the market Bushnell also continues to be innovative and constantly moving forward with technology. Bushnell Golf has given me the opportunity to experience that new technology first hand with the new Hybrid Laser Rangefinder and GPS system.
From the very first glance at my new Bushnell Hybrid Laser Rangefinder I was impressed by it’s sleek and simple design despite the multitude of functions. Also included was a handy storage case that I was able to hang perfectly onto my golf bag so that there would be no need to go digging around inside to find my device when I needed it.
This Hybrid Laser Rangefinder and GPS is the world’s first combo unit with a fully integrated display. The laser features a 5X magnification and has a range to flag of 400 yards. The PinSeeker with Jolt technology allows the golfer to feel a slight vibration once it is locked onto the target which helps to eliminate all doubt. Along with this added technology it is said to be accurate up to 1 yard. This is a feature that I found truly amazing. Each and every time I used the system I was able to feel the JOLT and know that I had locked in the proper distance. A great way to help make an amateur golfer feel more professional as well as look more professional because it allows me to shave multiple shots off my game by instantly becoming more accurate by choosing the right club for the distance given.
This system also comes with GPS features that include 36,000 preloaded golf courses in 30 countries. There is even bluetooth for instant course updates. The exterior GPS readout includes front, back and sides so there never a need to fumble to see what you’re looking for. If you’d rather not use the GPS features the Bushnell Golf Hybrid can still be used as a simple rangefinder with incredible accuracy.
After all the other incredible features, Bushnell has even included the Bushnell Golf App with every Hybrid which gives you things like hole layouts with distance, 3D flyovers with distances and wireless course updates available on your own mobile device! After using the device myself I can honestly say that I didn’t even feel the need to download the Bushnell Golf App because all the things I needed were already at my fingertips. Great little tool to have in your golf bag!
