Sligo Wear - 2011 Review

We got the chance to try out 4 amazing shirts from Sligo Wear www.sligowear.com

The designs were something we have not seen in golf much, and it is a breath of fresh  air. The shirts were lite, breathable, trim fit, and looked awesome.

We wore the shirts right away and on every chance we got while out on the course, the range, meetings, or just hanging around the office.

From GolfBalled Staffer(MulliganAgain):

I love the fit and feel of these new Sligo shirts.  They have a regular fit which is more of a modern twist to most golf shirts since most golf shirts tend to have oversized sleeves.  The true fit sized sleeves allowed me to swing the club more freely with little added resistance from the shirt.  Sligo boasts a 4 way mechanical stretch fabric and its polyester material allows for easy stretch while swinging.   The shirt itself is extremely lightweight and it is obvious that it was designed with a golfers swing in mind.  The polyester material also seems to limit the wear and tear that most of my normal cotton golf shirts encounter.

I tend to sweat A LOT while golfing so it’s great to find a shirt that can help me out in this area.  The shirts have a Moisture Wicking fabric which breathes easy to limit sweating like a dog on the course.  The moisture wicking fabric actually does remove a lot of the moisture from my skin and it does it without soaking it into the shirt like my regular cotton ones do.  It basically keeps it lightly damp as opposed to soaked and heavy.  Surprisingly the fabric also adjusts well to different climates.  The last time I wore the Sligo shirt while playing, the weather dropped considerably as the sun went down and it actually kept me well insulated when it became cooler outside.

All in all, Sligo has a lot of trendy golf shirts.  I love their use of bright colors to match their fashion forward designs.  Fashion in general is moving towards the use of bright colors and designs and it is good to see that a golf clothing company is keeping up with current trends and blending it into golf’s modern game.
