Hey GB visitors, my first review here and I wanted to start from the "ground" up with a review on one of the 2 pairs of shoes I'm currently gaming; The Adidas Powerband 3.0s.
I'll start with my readers digest version: Economical, Comfortable, and Stylish... A worthwhile yet small investment that I've come to enjoy in many ways.
The details, I found these shoes on sale online and just couldn't pass up the deal. I went with the White/Navy/Silver color combo as that was the best matching for my current golf attire and one of the few available in my size (13). I received them in short order and immediately put them in play. My usual routine when playing a round is split a small bucket with playing partner and then off to the course... so there was almost ZERO break in period. We rode that round but I believe I could've walked the 18 without any issues with my feet.
They are a little stiffer than tennis shoes but again, they were comfortable from the first time I slipped them on. I believe the "Powerband" namesake is because they are supposed to offer a little more stability and support around the arch area of the foot. Spike layout is typical but I noticed no slippage or any thing disconcerting with the shoes in all and I happily game them regularly.
I can't speak to their long term durability yet as I just purchased them late last season, and I am obsessed with shoes and the care of them. I waterproof them every month and clean them meticulously after each and every round! But from what I can tell, these will be around for some time!
