Callaway Golf Apparel Review

Wasn’t long ago I was chatting with some people about Callaway Apparel and how 2014 was going to be bigger and better. After checking out some of the future releases at The PGA Show I was excited. I liked the direction of the styles that were coming out.

Fast forward …….

When presented with the opportunity to review a variety of Callaway Golf Apparel,  I jumped at it. This review will focus on a pair of Micro Check Pant in Griffin Grey, Arc Polo in Salsa, and Matte Rubber Belt in Caviar.

Let’s start with The Arc Polo, This truly was one of my favorite polo’s at the PGA Show and I have the picture to prove it.

The Arc Polo is made from 100% Polyester and has a short 2 button placket which is perfect for this shirt. During my rounds of play I stayed dry during various temperatures as high as 94 degrees. The reason is the Opti-Dri technology which transfer’s sweat aka moisture away to be evaporated. Now remember I wrote transfers sweat, so I was still concerned with any odor that might have occurred after a four hour round of golf in the Florida sun. To my surprise, the Opti-Genic which is a treatment used to help deter odor and keep you fresher really worked. Now one thing I like to do when I review apparel is wear it several times over a few weeks, sometimes even a little more. Why you might ask? The answer is simple I want to use wash and repeat several times. I have worn polo’s in the past that after you wash or even worn in the Sun a few times start to fade.  Happy to say that the Arc past my test, and also found out during my review that the Opti-Sheild technology they use actually helps protect you from the sun’s rays.

Alright let’s talk about the Micro Check Pant.  One thing I liked right away is the fit. I don’t like having to hem my pants, I simply want to buy and wear. These are available by waist and length and are made of 98% Polyester and 2% Spandex. During play I felt really comfortable with the way they wore. The pants material stretches with your movements, so there is less restriction. They have a small Chevron above one of the pockets; I wish it was bigger and maybe even on the pocket. The pants also have the Opti-Dri and Opti-Shield technology in them. Another cool feature is the rubber in the waist band to help keep your shirt in place.

Now let’s talk accessories: we have a Matte Rubber Belt in Caviar. This golf belt is really cool, and makes a statement. The Black Matte Chevron Buckle is over the top! The strap is one size and all I had to do was cut it down to my size.  It’s very easy and simple to do. This Belt will make any outfit stand out.

Well there you have it. Callaway Apparel is on top of their game when it comes to fashion. If you want to make a Bold Statement on and off the course check out Callaway, you can’t go wrong. High Fashion, High Performance.
