PowerBilt Air Force One DF

No, this is not an old spice commercial this is a real product in the golf world.  The crew at PowerBilt have created a nitrogen infused driver. With the nitrogen being inside of the driver head, compression of the ball to driver becomes increased causing you to add not only more distance to the ball but increase the control of the ball as well.  The nitrogen filled driver head is a big draw to this club and I have to admit that it did not disappoint. The head has a titanium forged body and face with a 2.8 mm face thickness.  The face has one of the thinnest face thicknesses on the market today.

NITROGEN CHARGED DRIVER!

Looks: The pearl white top gives it a trendy look that is sure to turn some heads when you take off the head cover.  The pearl white finish reduces glare at initial address.

Sound: The sound upon contact it not overwhelming.  The contact sounds like your striking the ball lightly but really your just nailing it on the sweet spot.  I am attributing this to the nitrogen filled club head.  It doesn't give the same crisp striking echo that most are used to.

Power: Because of the fact that the sound doesn't echo upon impact, you do not realize how much added distance you are getting!  Not until I found my ball in the fairway was I realizing how far I actually crushed my drives.   My average distance on most of my drives is about 250-270 with my Cobra ZL.  Through a total of 18 holes with this driver, there was not one drive that did not reach the 270-290 range.  I don't know if it is me knowing that there is nitrogen in my driver or the fact that it nitrogen is actually giving me extra yards, but there is definitely an added sense of confidence when I step into the tee box.   The deep face and design of the driver also contributes to the new found added distance and higher MOI.

Control: This is a huge selling point on the club. The fact is you get superior control WITH forgiveness.  I went 6/6 on fairways at my local course.  Of those 6 holes, I can honestly say that only 2 of the drivers were actually good swings. With 4 bad swings I still was in the fairway with more distance than any other driver that may have been used in my bag. The very next day, I went out to a different course and still had all the confidence in the world in hitting fairways and knowing I can shape my shot easily with this driver.

Overall: Powerbilt's Air Force One DF Tour Driver is just a well put together club and a strong option for the average golfer struggling with their driver.  The new strides in technology to create added distance seems almost surreal.  Powerbilt's patented nitrogen charged technology married with the forgiveness of the club face and design make it a very compelling new weapon for golfers looking for answers.

There is one downside to this club and that is because it has the nitrogen in the head of the driver.  It is not legal in terms of competitive play in the USGA and Golf Channel Am Tour.
