Chromax M1x Golf Ball Review

For the new 2014 season Chromax has released The M1x golf ball. Having tried out a few of Chromax’s other lines I was ready to put them into play. For those of you that do not know about Chromax here is a little information on the Company.

Company

Chromax was launched in 2007 at the annual PGA Golf show in Orlando. We love the traditions of golf but wanted something a little different. We love colored golf balls. However, more than just a golf ball with color, we wanted something that would really enhance the game of golf. What we came up with was Chromax golf balls. The Chromax golf ball has a metallic layer that reflects sunlight like a mirror and its elegant colors add a little character. Easy to see and beautiful to look at. That’s what we were after. Of course, we also made sure it’s USGA tournament legal because we don’t want to change the game. We just want to make it a little more fun. - See more at: http://chromaxgolf.com/company/#sthash.Vz7Ts2pE.dpuf

I played several rounds with the M1x Golf Ball. I wanted to play with it on several courses as well as different types of conditions to get the best information to write this review. Let’s begin:

Distance: 9.5 / 10 – These Balls are LONG off every club.

Feel: 8.5/ 10 - I would have gone a little higher but the feel when putting just wasn’t there for me.

Control: 9/10- Ball was easy to control. Only issue I had was while putting.

Durability: 9/10 -This ball can take a beating. Cover holds up nicely.

FINAL SCORE: 9 /10

Final Thoughts

One thing that stuck out the most while playing the M1x Golf ball was that it is extremely visible. It was also a big attention grabber. It was incredible how many times I was asked about the M1x Ball. It was funny at times. What kind of ball is that? Does it really work? Doesn’t the color bother you? There were others but you’re getting the idea. Best reactions where from the groups I play with. One of them even took it upon himself to confiscate one for him. The ball performance was really nice. I am not giving up hope on getting better with the M1x ball on the putting surface. Have to practice more with the distance control. The ball explodes off the face of my putter. You want a ball that performs easy to see, and stands out, the M1x is for you!

Well Done Chromax !
