TOPIC: Shot Scope GPS + Performance Tracker?

Shot Scope GPS + Performance Tracker? 2 years 7 months ago #111730

Hi all,
I have been looking into getting a GPS watch for a while as I feel like it would greatly benefit my game. I have looked at Game Golf and Arccos and both have pretty good reviews. However, I have been online this morning and noticed a company called Shot Scope on Twitter who have just released a product which combines GPS and Performance Tracking. They are offering a $60 refundable deposit and pay remaining balance ($150 i think) when they ship in October. Product looks really good (got pic from their Twitter) and read some reviews of their first product which seems good. Any of you used a Shot Scope before? I like the idea of having a GPS to help me on course and the fact it collects all my stats to look at off course seems a real bonus. Think it could definitely help me focus on my practice and improve my game. Any thoughts on this and GPS in general would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I personally can't wear a watch when I play golf but seems like a cool product. I like keeping my stats on my score card and rely more on my range finder for distances.

I normally wear a watch when I play so I don't think I will find it an issue. Having looked more at their website, shotscope.com/ for anyone that wants a look, it looks like you don't have to tag clubs either which would be good as it means I can just play my game and won't forget to tag all the time. Think I might go for it

I have used both versions of the Game Golf for a couple of years. Using the Game Golf live now, it's a great tool for finding the parts of your game you should be working on

I agree with Mike Hallee, I have used Game Golf for years and also have used the LIVE version. I found Game Golf to be very useful with data in the area I need improvement. I have used Shot Scope, and found it to be helpful. However, as Corey said about wearing a watch.....Many don't like wearing watches on the course, but if you're one that it doesn't hinder your swing, and you wear a watch anyway....Then this might be something to look into. I did also find the data from shot scope to be useful, I also will add, that if you wear an Apple watch that Game Golf is compatible with Apple Watches for GPS use.
I have also used Sky Caddie Linx GT and really liked that. They have a great app to look at your data and it is kept on their cloud. The Sky Caddie LINX acts also as a watch when not playing. I hope this helps.
