Has any of the Golfballed faithful had hernia surgery and then still been able to play golf with or without issues? Any stories or thoughts would be appreciated. I just had surgery number 7 on my abdomen (Oct 22). It was my first hernia surgery though. The others were quite more serious. I have a surgically repaired elbow that was a disaster but I am finding a new swing to cope with that. This hernia thing has got me scared. As I have mentioned before not only is this my exercise but it is a place where I spend a lot of time with my kids. I would be devastating to me not to be able to play golf anymore. I am looking forward to the good, bad and ugly sides of this kind of surgery and playing golf.
Thank you
Mark

Hey Mark!
First of all, I wish you a quick and speedy recovery!
My father-in-law had a sports hernia and seemed to recover well. I'll ask him how long it took to actually recover and get back to doing normal things, and golfing. He's back and swinging a club, but doesn't play much anyways. I give him a call and find out more man. Hope others may have more insight too!

I wish you a fast recovery. Try and do everything the doctors say. Don't push it. Give it timento heal 100%. And Golf when you are better. We all love this game. But it is far less important than playing and hurting yourself.
