2 things actually:

1) The only way to get better is to change your swing.
2) Lower your expectations and remember that you actually suck at this game. Just have Fun!

Swing to a pose, end your swing like you are posing for a picture or a trophy. You can't get to this position if you have poor tempo, come over the top, etc. Most of our practice swings end in the "pose" position because they are controlled, proper tempo. If the ball got in the way of that practice swing, you'd likely hit the center of the clubface and hit a good shot.

Pose for the trophy. And stay thirsty my friends.

Swing with in yourself, let the club do the work. Lets you have a good tempo. I also like to use the " sun". I stand with my back to the sun and use my shadow to see how things line up. Parallel at the top, flat wrist, if you swaying left, right, up, down. Its great when you don't have that extra set of eyes.

I always think of tempo and follow through.
If I concentrate on these two things, good things happen.
