TOPIC: Falling under the plane.

Falling under the plane. 5 years 1 month ago #102152

I have been dealing with a loop at the top of my swing for a few months now. I pull the club back on plane and with good path but somewhere in the transition I fall under plane and flare my club face wide open. This has caused me to be very inconsistent because sometimes i hit a fade with the face open, but other times, I whip my hands around the ball and hit a draw or pull. I was wondering if anyone could help or has advice?

Are you dipping or dropping your hands? I would like to see a video if possible. The pull/hook happens when you bring the club to far inside. This can be a lot of things so a video would be good. Thanks

I'm actually about to post a review of the SKLZ hinge helper. Should help keep you on plane.

Agree with Corey, video would be good. What you are describing could have many different causes including what Corey mentioned as well as your hips could be spinning out way too fast on the downswing and your upper body lagging way behind. Think Tiger when he was hitting it way right and then in an effort to fix that would flip his hands at the very last moment to try and catch up and hit pull or snap hooks from time to time.

You are not alone, I and proabably several others have the same tendencies. Corey is right that a video would help.
