Haven’t had it happen to me. Have had a head fly off.

And once standing in front of a pond with a 100 yards to the pin on a very rainy day. I had the revelation that if my clubbed slipped I was not getting it back. I changed to a wedge that I had though about replacing anyway. I didn't get to replace it that day but did put the ball in the water.

In a golf tournament, you had the chance to throw a club, and where it landed you teed off from. My went backwards and way left.....double bogey!!!!!!!!!!

I've lost a clubhead. It was cold and the epoxy broke down on my W/s Pi5 7 iron. Never seen anyone lose the club down range.

I was playing in the rain once and had the club slip out of my hands in the beginning of my downswing and embedded the clubhead about 10 inches deep into the ground behind the ball.

I fight an early release, lol.

Unfortunately yes. In high school I was playing a little par 3 course by my house. Hole 1 was next to the street. On the first hole, teeing off, the club slipped out of my hands mid swing, flew over the fence and landed in the street!

Definitely not a highlight in my life.

Haha!! That sucks man. At least it was in high school and nobody can still give you crap for it? Or are you still friends with people who would have witnessed that?
