Just throwing it out there, the USGA is absolutely wrong to wait until after the round to possibly asses the penalty to DJ. If they clearly feel this strongly that he caused the ball to move, assess the penalty and tell him to swallow it and move on. Not fair to him or any of the other competitors to hang it over their heads

Huge win by DJ. Way not to let the USGA play a factor in the ending.

No Choke, No letting the USGA play a factor.. Big congrats to Dustin Johnson on his first MAJOR win!
It was great to finally watch him close out the 18th strong. He has over come so many demons to finally get here. Hope he can stay clean and keep winning!

It was so awesome to watch DJ finish that off yesterday. He played great all week and fully deserved his fist major. Saying that, the USGA is making it hard to watch their golf tournaments. Not only with that penalty blunder which made them look absolutely stupid, but with the unreal green speeds they have going on at these tournaments. I see guys barely tapping at 40ft putt constantly which is just ridiculous. I know they don't want low scores, but it makes it really hard for me to watch. They try and do things just to mess with the players and for me, this is two years in a row where the US Open just hasn't been a great tournament.

And when it comes to the penalty fiasco and how the USGA handled it... That's why a lot of people hate golf and is not a good look for them. No way DJ would've willingly taken that 1 shot penalty if he won by one. Absolute joke they are.

Props to DJ. PLayed well all weekend, Finished with a bang and handles the rules issue with style.
