This ball has just about all the bells and whistles a low handicapper likes. long, straight, great feel, nice flight, easy to control, great greens control, and probably anything else you value in a ball. This is why this ball is #1 on tour. Everyone says it is just hype. Everyone says it is over-priced. Everyone has something to say about this ball. All may be true, but also true is that this is a great ball. Maybe not the best ball for you, but a really good ball. mid-low handicappers should play this ball if they are trying to shave strokes off their game. high handi's beware, just may be too much ball for you. It's like driving a Ferrari at 16 with a new license. If you know your game and know what you need in a ball, this is a good one to try and maybe always game.
Driver Grade: A
Long, straight, and good feel. This is what making great drives is all about. Nothing like seeing this ball fly off the drivers face with the perfect flight and going further down the fairway than usual. Right off the first tee shot you will build confidence with that long fairway shot. It's a game change right from the start. But, sometimes I have made a few of these not so round anymore after a huge drive. It is kinda odd for such a high priced and great ball. Could just be a flook. None the less, this ball is a dream ball to have while driving. That is why I love playing this ball and just about the better chunk of golfers do too.
Irons Grade: A
Smooth feel off all the irons in the bag, Gets in the air very easy, and keeps on target like you would expect. With a soft feel at impact it carries a great distance for a ball that feels this good. It will hold up to any amount of spin you put on it. But if you do a full on wedge shot, it will cut the cover up like most softer covered balls.
Putter Grade: A
The ball reacts well across the board, even with the putter. It keeps up with the great feel and straight lines where it really matters, the putter. Has a nice little click sound with a subtle soft impact. Hugs lines, curves, and you will hear that sinking sound more often than not. With it's dual alignment arrows, it really makes sinking putts easier than most alignmant lines on balls.
This ball is number one for a reason, because it is easily one of the top balls in every category in golf. It feels great, it goes far, it is straight, it has great spin, easy to control, and putts nicely. If you have been on the fence with this ball or just reject it due to it's status, just try it. Find out why so many people live and die by this ball. It might not be the best avaerage gamers ball, muchly due to price, but any golfer should buy a box and try them at least once. Usually if there is hype or fuss about a ball, it's for a reason.
