Specs:

HX Diablo Tour golf balls offer an exemplary combination of distance of the tee and pinpoint control on approach shots. Our Power Reaction Core is firmer on the outer edges and gradually gets softer on the inside, creating less spin off of driver shots and more spin when using shorter irons. The thin Ionomer cover increases spin even more around the greens for aggressive shot-making and improved short game control. HX Diablo Tour combines all the best elements of the HX Bite for spin and the HX Hot Plus for long distance in one 3-piece performance ball.

Despite the harder feel and other things, I really, really, liked this ball. The distance was really nice and the green control was a surprise. It is called a tour ball, but, falls into the premium category of balls. This has the makings and markings of a great tour ball but falls short. But in it's price range and niche, this ball is great. I'm usually not a fan of callaway balls. They all just seem the same to me. But this one grew on me.

Driver Grade: A-
I really liked the distance on this ball. It was a "see ya later, come and find me" kind of ball. You knew it went long when you hit, now, how long? This ball was just about as long as the Pro-V1 if not longer on a very solid strike. Very little side-spin for my monster swing speed, which was a big plus to me. I knew everytime I went up to bat, this ball will end up on the fairway, and way down the fairway as well. Downside is the feel. Heavy and hard feel. Such a solid ball, makes you feel like you could whack at all day and do no damage. But that solidness could be a downfall if you don't like super hard feeling golf balls.

Irons Grade: B-
Feel was the downfall again. Bording flight off the irons but hugs a greens very well for a harder feeling distance ball. Saw good consistent distance off the irons which made me not mind the feel as much. The ball took full wedge shots and rolled back like a champ. Durability was pretty good in that area where I usually rip balls apart. good spin, good durability, decent distance, but horrible feel. Not bad.

Putting Grade: B
I was sinking this ball like nothing when I got used to it. It goes straight with ease and follows any line you tell it. Hugging curves and slopes like a pro, this ball can hang with any green.

Bottom-Line:
If you have a 90+ swing speed I would say give this ball a try. It would help if you play with irons that are cavity backs, you won't feel the impact as much. High handicappers may not want to stray to this ball just yet. I say the mid-low handicappers will benefit from this ball and see real gains in parts of their game. The effortless distance and low driver spin will keep you in fron of the pack.
