It's been a month, and I decided to give the ProV1X a ride... Been told less spin on the longer clubs, but still the same feel and spin with the shorter clubs as the ProV1. I'm still buying last year's model though... so ProV1X 2012 for now.

I bought 3 dozen, that should get me through most of the remainder of the season so I hope it works for my game!

Based on it's geographic location and some of the atypical topography, I would guess that it is built on a reclaimed phosphate mine.

The greens fees are pure resort. To ride 18 you need to pony up 140 bucks if you are not a resident. 100 bucks for Florida residents. They do allow walking if you can believe a resort would let you walk.

The courses look spectacular, almost unbelievable.

I think a day on the links there with lunch and a few after round libations would cost you over 200 bucks. That is a little rich for my everyday, but not out of reach for a special day like a birthday or fathers day.

It is now on my short-list. I was partial to the blue course.

I didn't do very well with my wording on that. I fight a hook in my game OVERALL, but the "regular" XHot with a stiff shaft does not tend to hook on me. I can hit draws and fades pretty much at will with the club. If the regular was too whippy for you, it was probably the shaft and not the XHot vs XHot Pro clubhead.

AHHHHHHH.... my bad. no it hit the regular X HOT and the shaft was to whipy so i went with the X Hot Pro with a stiff shaft and its perfect

I play in a lot of different tournaments and a couple of years back, I played with a guy similar to your description, suuuuuuuuuucked.
I make a pronouncement to my fellow competitor on the first tee: I am keeping your score, but I am trying to focus on my own game so I won't be counting your shots. If I ask you what your score was after we play a hole, it's only because I am responsible for getting your scorecard added up correctly, I am not trying to "game" you or ever try to embarrass you.

They usually respond with a "no problem at all" and then I never feel like I have to sheepishly ask them for a score. It works well for everybody.

I'm a small sleever. I hate long sleeves. When I was at Medina for the PGA Junior League World Championships (search it up, we were team New Jersey). The TW shirts are way too expensive, $90 for a shirt!!?? Unless I am a tour pro, I wouldn't get one. I got a Puma shirt yesterday, wore it today, and loved it

The cost of golf is what keeps most people away! Unless you live in a high golf area like Myrtle Beach, Fla, Arizona, Cali or something, most these golf courses are in crap shape compared to those places, yet they demand $40 or more on the weekend for a round of golf! My friends ask me all the time, lets go play Course "X" this Saturday, I go how much is it, they go $52, Im like dude I could drive to Myrtle Beach for the weekend and play twice for $60 or less and play a course that is 2-3x's as nice!

I am seriously considering dropping my 2007 burner 3 which works nice for me, and use the 5 wood as my only fairway club. TM SHOULD HAVE MADE THEIR ENTIRE STAGE TWO LINE ADJUSTABLE. If that 5 was strengthened from 19 to say 17.5 it would be scary long.

I could then legally add my Ping or Vokey gap wadge or Cally 64 with the illegal Mc Daddy grooves. Hell at my age there are not that many par 5's where I have a reasonable opportunity to reach.

Yesterday for the hell of it I went at the 5 with a full bore 100 per cent swing, it carried 233 as I walked after it on the follow through. Keep that V steel that is impressive. Just a few years back Kenny Perry was still playing the V Steel 3 wood. A few years back I won 5 BRAND NEW V STEEL heads off the Bay, some I got for, $7 each and a couple I SNAGGED for $5.50 each. By the time I GOT ON THEM all they had was 5 woods or 7 wood heads. That old school V STEEL was a great fairway wood, don't walk away from it.
