This one's for those of you who are swinging SCOR wedges...

I've read through your reviews and they were GREAT! Very well rounded and when put all together, they each have a unique twist to them...

Question is:

In your own words (doesn't have to be fancy golf verbiage) What are the top 3 Pro's to these wedges vs. your own current set-up that you've been using prior to receiving the SCOR sets (and why)? (Please include what make/model your old sets were).

Also, if there is any drawback(s), what are they?

Looking for straight forwardness on these two areas. I'm really scoping SCOR and it would be AWESOME to receive your replies on these couple of questions.

Thank you in advance.

Nice question Ace.

Prior to receiving my SCOR wedges, I was using Callaway X Series Jaws wedges from 2010 with the MD grooves. My first pro would be that the SCOR wedges don't eat my golf ball. A 75% to full swing with the Jaws always lead to me picking pieces of my ball out of the grooves and having a chewed up golf ball. My second pro would be the versatility I get from the V Sole technology. If I didn't have a perfect lie with the Jaws, I always hit it thin or dug in badly. So far with these, having the dual bounce angles has taken any guess work out of it. I'd have to say my third biggest pro is feel. The very first swing I took with these had me hooked just on feel alone (and the fact that the ball spun a lot with out being eaten). The feel of these wedges on pure shots rivals that of any club out there in my opinion. And it's easy to work the ball right and left on command.

I hope this is the kind of answer you were looking for bud. I'm really glad you asked!

EXACTLY what I was hoping for

I have the same circumstance with my new Nike VR PRO Forged wedges and the golf ball sticking to it real good. I hate a brand new Pro V1x or Nike 20XI to be chewed after one good smack with a short stick.

Feel and workability are terrific traits and ever-so-important with the "Scoring" clubs.

Awesome. Just Awesome!

Appreciate it Josh, very much so.

Ace,

My previous wedges were TaylorMade R7/CGB PW & AW to match my irons, in graphite stiff.
My Sand & Lob wedges were TaylorMade RAC Chrome and RAC TP (Black) in steel.
I've had those for quite a few years and just had the grooves sharpened in the fall.
They spun very well...

The SCOR wedges have a much better feel than my TM's, and the distance actually seems better even though they have the same lofts. Though I don't really care about maximum distance with scoring clubs. They spin better than I expected with the new conforming USGA grooves rule.
My buddies and I went on a golf trip to Alabama earlier this month and I was amazed with the performance and spin the SCOR wedges had on good quality and receptive greens. Playing in Colorado, where the greens weren't quite in yet and still pretty firm, I was questioning the spin. Turns out my skepticism was all for naught...no wedge spins well on late winter greens.

I must admit, I've been tempted to put my old TM lob wedge back in the bag, but I'm still holding out thinking it's a confidence thing.
My old TM had a 8 degree bounce, which gave me a lot of confidence when trying to hit a flop shot. The top line and back of the SCOR wedges are thicker than my TM, so it just doesn't feel comfortable hitting that shot. Again, for now - I'm keeping the SCOR lob in the bag as I otherwise really like these wedges.

I'd just like to say that these things are still ridiculous. I'm very happy with them still and they're going to be getting used often this summer. Looking to shoot some low rounds for sure.

I emailed Beau a couple of days ago and let him know how everything was going. I even sent him a link so he could check out everything that's going on. I asked him when SCOR 2161 was coming out but he hasn't replied yet, haha. I'd love a full set of these bad boys if they existed.
