So with me being so busy with summer school, I've found it hard to play much golf. Without golf, it's hard to test golf accessories. But, I've put my thoughts together for "The Scrubby" and "The Turbo Tees"

First I'll start with the Turbo Tees. As many of you know, The Golfmen were sending a bunch of these out for people to try. A lot of you have tried these and listed your thoughts. For me, I didn't have a great way of testing to see if I added any distance. The concept makes sense to me though, in that it's similar to the plastic tees with prongs: Less resistance, more distance. I did find these tees to be very durable. I'm still using the same ones they sent me for testing without any problem. I love the way the ball looks at address, as if it's hovering. It makes me feel like the ball will just rocket off the driver!

My only dislikes about this are the predetermined heights of the tees. For me, the driver tee has the ball sitting too high for my liking. The iron tee was perfect for my fairway woods, but everything else was just a little off. I found a way to make them work though, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Next up is The Scrubby. This product is a ball/club cleaner. I really like this thing. The handle can be filled with water and has a pump-like thing on the end so you can squirt the water out into the little cup. The little cup has a rough cleaning pad in it so you can clean the ball with just a few spins. It works really well, and it replaced the regular club cleaner on my bag. The courses around my home don't always have working ball cleaners on the holes, so it's nice to have this to help me out. One of the most convenient tools I have, and paired with the Flip Towel they sent me (reviewed earlier in the thread) it is a perfect combo for cleaning your club faces and golf balls.

Head on over to their site if you want to check these items out and look at some pictures or prices!

We finally cleaned out one section of the house that had boxes. In there happened to be the Turbo Tees that were sent out by The Golfmen. Here are my brief comments on my findings.

I actually took out the Turbo Tees on Sunday and Monday. I used the tees on the range and a couple of things became apparent to me. The first was that they were easy to put into the hard clay-based soil. They were also easy to locate in the grass. However, this is where the posities for me end.

From a performance side of things where it's supposed to matter my comments are not positive. I'm not sure if the design is good for windy conditions. I had real issues with getting the ball to stay on the tee. The ball fell off of the tee both days more than it stayed on. I think the "platfrom" where the ball sits could have more of a "dimple". It might be too flat. I noticed no added distance and as a matter of fact for me I might've had a fall off in distance. But getting back to the ball falling off the tee... it was aggravating to the nth degree. I quickly switched back to my usual tees and had zero issues with the ball falling off.

My overall grade is a C-.

That's odd, I never had a problem with it falling off. And like I said, I couldn't tell any difference in distance. I'd be interested in seeing the difference on a launch monitor.

Maybe it was the way they were cut from the moulds? All that I know is that I became aggravated by it. I have never been able to make that claim before on the golf course about a product.

I wonder if it was just a bad batch that you somehow ended up with?

I didnt like these tees. Epochs are the way to go I feel like. I ordered some the other day and one of these things last me a full round or more usually. I got them when I ordered some golfballs and I think they are like 5 bucks for 40 of the tall ones which should last me a loooong time

I didn't dislike them, but they aren't my go-to tee. I am a Zero Friction guy for now, especially since I bought a 40 pack in high school and I'm still using them.
