So I put what I've learned from the EDGE today on the course. I dunno what to say about this product except that it flat out works. To sum up todays action... my putts were the lowest total that I've seen over 18 holes. Anything that in the 3-8' which was approximately 14 putts I went 13 of 14. I missed an 8 footer (lack of pace) for birdie on a par 3. The line and stroke were there.. not the weight (hung up in the grain). Now what is interesting is how my lag putts have improved... not only line but proximity. I am real excited about this product!

Completely agree with you that it "flat out works". And congrats on the putting improvements! I am so happy that I was chosen to help test this product. IT IS AMAZING. SImple little aid with huge results. Glad everyone else is enjoying it as much as I am.

Today I put my mirror into play. I have to say it was an eye opener. I found out instantly my flaws.
1- my shoulders were not squared. My left shoulder was out.

2- Eyes were not over the ball. Not even close.

3- My putter face was not squared . The toe was open

4- I found out I was flipping my wrist.

I hit 300 total putts. I am practicing at 5 feet, 7 feet, & at 9 feet.

By the time I was done it felt as if I had a new stroke. I will have to get use to putting the right way.lol. As funny as it felt the putts started to fall.

Im looking forwardd to my next practice ..

This is so much fun!
I have worked with hundreds and hundreds of people on their putting ... hearing success stories never get old.

Keep up the great work Golfather.

I had a few more minutes using this today, and actually used the mirror aspect of it instead of just the gates. I have a slightly open stance, so I expected to find that my shoulders would be misaligned as well. My shoulders actually were aligned perfectly it seemed, but I don't think my eyes are directly over the ball. That's not good.

On the course today, I tried out my fixed putting stroke and things seemed to be working better. It was really hard to tell because these greens were extremely fast and broke a lot too so I was trying to just get it close and tap in on most holes. I was happy with my putting though, and can't wait to continue to improve.

Good analysis Josh ... the putter usually follows the shoulder line, not the feet.

However, it is easier to square the shoulders if the feet are square. It makes it more consistent. We seldom see a Tour player with an open stance anymore.

I had some really nice success using the putting mirror (even with limited use time) since last week when it arrived. I'm a 'feel' guy when it comes to putting but my putting got to a point of such horror that this came at an absolutely perfect time. To see the reflection of my body, particularly shoulders and eye alignment is so clutch.

It turns out that somewhere along the way I changed my grip without realizing it too and so to have this aid as a visual feedback (instantly) paired with finding my "proper" grip was absolutely timely.

I'll have some time through this week to set this bad boy up and use the gates and use it to it's full extent and then have a decent report with some visuals to share too.

Great product though wether your a strong putter or lost. Either way, how can you not use instant visual feedback to your benefit, right?

Ace - nice work.
When things are going well - you need to know why, because this gives you a starting point when things don't go well.

Tour players call it "checking their lines" - they check their alignment everyday before they go through their practice routines. They eliminate all doubt about setup and alignment.

Sam:

To be honest.. I have never felt this good walking up to putts. It's almost like I walk up to the putt after walking around the hole and a quick plumb bob and I have a feeling that the putt will drop. The EDGE Putting Mirror is great for mechanics and the 6" between the ears. Looking forward to getting up to my venue on Sunday. Last year, I absolutely got frustrated on the greens where I play Monday. Couldn't sink a putt... will the EDGE give me an edge? Time will soon tell.

This morning.. west of London, Ontario. It's a course called FireRock... nice tract.

BTW.. I have a little update.

I arrived at the tournament venue to work on the range and get some time in on the putting green. Green was fast but it will be faster when I tee off at 940 this morning.

Last year (my one year anniversary of turning pro is 4 days away) these greens gave me fits.. actually the practice green. So I had the Eyeline EDGE Putting Mirror out on the green and with the aid of this wonderful aid I was making 5-6 footers feel like tap-ins. I used the EDGE to work the "Gate Drill" while doing this.

But the versatility of the EDGE shined this morning. While in the room I was putting to a dime on the floor 6' away. I was working the "Gate Drill" again and I was rolling the ball over the dime with about 12" of roll out. I then used the mirrir to check my eyes and shoulders.. and again I was money.

Sam... terrific product.

Re: Eyeline Golf EDGE Putting Mirror Testing Thread 1 year ago #31872

Just wanted to check in again. My first 2 weeks with the mirror was just a variety of the practices that the mirror provides. But mainly focusing on squaring my shoulders. I am amazed how now when I stand over the mirror, my shoulders automatically align and I am ready to perform my stroke. Now I have switched gears and I am focusing almost completely on using the putting gates. Only managing to get 2 rounds in so far, I have still already noticed a difference. As I said before in my earlier post about my round last Tuesday, my strokes were only slightly down, but I was making the strokes that I wanted to make. Still early, but I am astounded at how much this aid has already done for me. Once again, THANKS! Sam for this opportunity. I have been spreading the word about this amazing product. I will let everyone know how my round Thursday goes.

I have continued to hit a minimum of 200 putts I mix it up with mirror with rail without either with both. I have to say that putting has been much better. This weekend 29 putts no 3 putts. I see breaking 80 soon.

Has anyone tried the "release gate" on the mirror?

Not yet. I have been putting tees on 2 holes in the end (red lines) and rolling the ball through that.
